We are bunch of over reactors
This fact is proved again and again, very recently when the political parties and media over reacted on Mr. Tharror’s comments(tweets) on the economy class. Its funny and fearsome the way media can make anything and everything an issue to gain their TRPs, and also the way people react to those so called controversies. Take the example of congress leadership and the tone they used to warn Mr.Tharror. He must have been very surprised with these unwanted and unreasonable over acts.
Are we really so sensitive? Nahhh… I don’t think so. We are bunch of escapists because we are OK with the roads we travel, the way railway toilets are maintained, the food in the trains, corruption in the nation, irresponsible politicians and everything else. But our face becomes a cherry if some one compares us with cattle, which is the fact. Our news channels are more of entertainment channels but we give so much importance to them and hang to each word the socialites utter in the discussions news channels conduct at the prime time.
I think we have better thing which can fill the prime time news and news paper front page headlines.

6 lakh tonne of food grains rot, Pawar downplays figures
After reading this news in news papers today I am shell shocked. I know this is not anything new every year it happens and the rotten grains were dumped in sea previously also. But looking the figure I did a small math and found that 0.5 Kg per head of the indian population. Nearly 30% of the indian population is under nutritional and 7% of the indian kids die because of under nutrition, this is very big thing.
The only reason for this wastage is improper maintenance of storage facilities. We boost our self for building a nuclear sub marine and IBMs, but we cannot find a way to stop wastage of food and feed the hungry people. We all are bunch of hypocrites and we elect best among us to govern us, what a shame. Where is the pride of being an indian?
A book on Telugu poets
I found this book in Google books, check the 241 page of this book you will find details of Telugu poets
OUTLOOK Blunder
The given below given is taken from 25th Feb,2008 edition of outlook if you closely observe the snippet says something about “Telugu Rashtriya Samiti” and its chief K Chandrashekar Rao
. To the best of my understanding there was/is no party with the name “Telugu Rashtriya Samiti”(TRS). Its actually “Telengana Rashtriya Samiti”. Not sure how a popular magazine like OUTLOOK can make such a mistake.
May be its the time we change
Less than a year back in the far west one man said rather shouted that he wants change and the whole world looked at that man with awe and great hope in this difficult times. Yeah I don’t have to tell who is that man and what he is doing now. But the point is in India are we are not yet ready to change, noo…. not that fast. We are still tossing ideas what really need to be changed in this country and its people. Well I came up with a list not that I represent you all but I am just tossing my one more idea
1) I want a change the way we think.
2) I want a change in the way we live. I don’t have to say, now we live with total hopelessness.
3) As individuals we all are responsible, but when come to nation we all form a group of very very irresponsible citizens.
4) We better stop hating ourselves. Enough hate already around.
5) Less talk and more action for a change.
6) We change by start respecting/accepting our strength and start admitting our weakness.
Last week there was a very good news that Mr. Nilekani is joining union government with the rank of cabinet minister. This is what I was asking ever since UPA formed the government with considerable number strength. Installing a person like Nilekani in such a important position is very right and well done in that aspect, but guess Mr. Nilekani only going well administrate project, what about the implementation of the project at the core level. Most of the government’s ambitious projects failed because there is no one to implement them as intended. Its just because of our infamous bureaucracy and the rotten methods they use to do their job. That’s why I am hopping government will at least this time choose to bypass bureaucracy and leave this important task of administering and implementing the project in the very capable hands of Mr. Nilekani. I am also hoping that Mr. Singh will bring some more non-politicos into his cabinet to do some good.
Best of luck Mr. Nilekani.
AN OBITUARY
An Obituary printed in the London Times – Interesting and sadly rather true.
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, *Common Sense*, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
– Why the early bird gets the worm;
– Life isn’t always fair;
– and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;
I Know My Rights
I Want It Now
Someone Else Is To Blame
I’m A Victim
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.
