I just finished watching Mr. Advani’s press conference about bringing back Indian money in foreign banks specially in the famed Swiss banks. He made a request to PM to raise this issue in G20 summit and also promised that he will act on this issue if gets power after the general elections. Not sure how Mr. Singh is going to react to this rare and rather constructive advise from the opposition leader. We in India hear such suggestion coming from opposition in or out side the parliament. Though I don’t doubt Mr. Singh’s integrity or his wisdom, I doubt the forces which he allowing to influence him.

May be its just a rumor, but I hear a lot of times from different sources that Indian corrupt politicians are first in the line to keep their “hard” earned money in these foreign accounts. As a individual I don’t like Mr. Advani but I like this latest promise he made, time to decide how he will fulfill this promise.

One thing I want to highlight about our electronic media, they telecast the entire conference live, but after the conference the anchor who was reporting this as “breaking news”, forgot summarize what the conference was for, and was only able to memorize that Mr. Advani was reluctant to talk about Varun Gandhi.

When ever people call India a democracy, I ask my self is it really one. Ours is a country rules by a family for more than 40 years and looking at present political circumstances we will be ruled by same family at least for one more generation. Its just not the situation at the union level, its the case of more than half of the states in India(AP, Tamilnadu, Panjab, Orissa, Rajastan and many more).
