what is the big deal, Gandhi’s items are auctioned

In the last few days I am seeing all these news and breaking news about some of Gandhi’s items being auctioned, and whether Indian government should participate in the auction or not. I think all this was created by media to fill up their “breaking news” time slots and manipulate viewers to accept that getting Gandhi’s items back to India is something that must be done to restore our country’s pride.
